News from the Chalfonts Lodge of MMM No. 1779

Worshipful Master W Bro Peter Smith welcomed over 40 members and visitors to the Chalfonts Lodge of MMM No.1779 for their May meeting on Wednesday, 28th May 2025. Once again, the Chalfonts conducted a double advancement for Brothers William Mark Berry and Charles Bitowt to the Degree of Mark Master Mason, according to ancient custom, by the Worshipful Master, assisted by W. Bro. Kevin Shannon in an excellent manner. V W Bro Brian Roake gave an explanation of the Working Tools.
With another candidate due for Advancement in December, making five in the year. The Chalfonts Lodge has grown considerably under the stewardship of Peter Smith.
The Brethren then retired for an excellent Festive Board. In replying to their Toasts, both candidates thanked the members and guests for their wonderful welcome and praised the ceremony and the manner in which it was conducted.
