Chalfonts Advance

On 3rd December 2025, over 40 members and visitors at The Chalfonts Lodge of Mark Master Masons 1779 were treated to a masterclass in the execution of an Advancement Ceremony.
This was the last meeting for Peter before installing John Stribling at the next meeting in February so it was a great conclusion to his year in the Chair of Adoniram.
The Candidate was Ryan Osgood from Jersey Lodge 2163 in Middlesex the son of member Neil Osgood. Neil stood in as Senior Deacon to guide Ryan through the ceremony concluding with the lecture. Some present had never seen it performed before and made for an extra special meeting.
Provincial Charity Steward Brian Meager presented The Grand Master’s Keystone Fund Jewel to the Lodge which represents a £25 contribution by each member. It is hoped all the Mark Lodges in the Province will obtain their own Jewel for their Master to wear and pass on to their successor at Installation meetings.
A lively Festive Board had the usual high standard of cuisine by Beaconsfield Centre Chef Gary Weston, preparing a traditional Roast Beef meal with all the trimmings followed by Apple Crumble and Custard. A great time was had by all.
